Designer and Royal College of Art-trained sculptor Jess Mackinnon came to jewellery through sculpture. Jess became fascinated with the manipulation of masculine materials into feminine forms. She progressed to experimenting with her ideas on the body and quickly became hooked on creating beautiful, empowering jewellery with an edge.

Initially self-taught, Jess then trained at two of the UK’s most respected jewellery schools to hone her skills in precious metals and jewellery design. She combines her artistic eye and exceptional attention to detail with her interests and influences, which range from the natural world to mythology via the contradictions and complexities of the human condition. Today, Jess brings the depth and craftsmanship of her artistic foundations to the world of fine jewellery, while continuing her work as a sculptor and artist.
