Sarah Herriot

Sarah came to jewellery design as a second career after working for 20 years as a computer software designer. She is self-taught, attending short courses along the way where necessary. She has been working for 6 years as a full time jewellery designer/maker with a huge amount of success in this short time. Her skill in cutting edge 3D design technology is unique, attracting high praise for the forms and architectural quality of the designs. Her latest work introduces the idea of transformation has been noted as the latest ‘trend’ in design. Her work is represented in galleries around the world, from Shanghai and Florida to Italy, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark and to London’s Tate Gallery and Royal Academy.

The egg range of work has put Sarah Herriot Design on the international map, catching the eye of stores such as Harry Winston in New York through to Wallpaper Magazine. SHD won the Goldsmiths Fine Jewellery Award in 2008 with the Fine Twist Egg Ring. Engineering and problem solving play their part in her designs and her solutions are as much of each piece as the design itself giving the rigour and elegance found in all her work.
